[MUSIC ROUNDUP] BTS + MONSTA X

Minhyuk gives Monbebe a chaotic, fun solo debut track and BTS continue to surprise many ARMY with new releases for BTS World.

OngShimi is Minhyuk's first solo song and it features fellow bandmate and rapper Jooheon. According to MONLYRICS X, Ongshimi is a kind of sujebi (clear soup with dumplings) which explains the fairness and roundness in the lyrics.

The MV is wild, incredibly bright thanks to Minhyuk's yelkiw suit and the song pays homage to retro Korean music back in the day. Nice to see them visit Hong Kong again. The minute I saw the Chinese signs and the carton drinks in that outdoor vending machine it clicked right away.

As for BTS, they're releasing an OST for their new mobile game and presenting some of the songs featured on the soundtrack. So far they have done collabs with Western artists and recently they released a new, softer song with all 7 members.

Heartbeat is a touching song and the MV has footage from concerts but also scenes where they are acting as other characters in specific storylines (Seokjin in that Hotel staff uniform screams Kdrama Prince). Team work makes the dream work. It really sounds like another tribute to the ARMY and I agree with the line, "I wish that you could love me". Inner fangirl wishes the same in some fairyland. But one dreams however they wish.
