[SONG REVIEW] MONSTA X + Block B

Song reviews including MONSTA X with a new Japanese single and Block B making a comeback to promote the repackaged version of their Montage album

Don't Leave - Block B

Block B released a new repackaged version not too long after Montage came to light. Don't Leave is the title track for Re:Montage and it brings back the softer side of Block B. The MV is mostly in black and white with the occasional darker colour scenery to fit the sombre mood of the song. If anyone is not a fan of ballads then this is definitely not for you. But if you enjoyed the likes of Toy like I did then Don't Leave follows on with the angst and Vocal Line's strength. Park Kyung did a great job with producing Don't Leave. It's about a break-up waiting to happen and the guys are begging their girl to not go. Not only are Vocal Line shining in this, even the main rappers get a small part of singing which is lovely to hear. Do check out the repackaged album for U-Kwon and Jaehyo's solo tracks as well.

Spotlight - MONSTA X

MONSTA X present their first Japanese single for their Japanese Monbebe that is not a remake of their Korean tracks. Spotlight has a siren that reminds me of Trespassing and the opening tune reminds me of Ready Or Not. The song does pounce on your face musically and the strong choreography delivers as you can see in the MV. I feel it's something for the Monbebe. There is focus on the fans where MONSTA X believe their fans' love is their spotlight to show the way, their strength. Minhyuk's line "I'll give you my signature" is so sweet.
