Pentagon aren't taking any breaks as they bring Universe another mini album.
Violet The guys sneakily released a second MV here after releasing Runaway as the main comeback single. The song is a treat, the MV is a treat...what can I say? It is a sad piece about heartbreak and wanting to go back to the past, to the happiness. In the MV a girl is on the same bus as Pentagon and someone smartly pointed how each of her interactions with the guys is a specific part of a relationship. That is, love at first sight, being in a relationship/officially dating then going to sadness and eventually breaking up.
Runaway The MV really gives Universe a visual delight and great choreography. Runaway is about working hard and wanting to run and chase your dream. Oddly enough I imagine the listener actually running with Pentagon, hand in hand like a good, trustworthy friend because they have faith in the other person. Enjoy a comeback stage performance as well while you're at it.
All Right A fitting track to just let it go/let it all out in the club/concert etc. As if you are in a safe place where you can be free. Get your hands in the air and wave to the beat, people.
Pretty Boys (rapper unit) Rapper Line constantly spell out P.R.E.T.T.Y quite a bit in this song and it's a tune about self-confidence. How they are pretty boys and how pretty girls respond. There's even a line that says this song is all over the place . No lie there, it is quite true in all honesty. I was not expecting the sudden Yutoibnida since I was getting used to Yuto-da
Stay With Me (vocal unit) A very Kdrama-worthy ballad. Indeed romantic and the guys feel happier and able to do anything when their special person is by their side. Vocal Line sound stunning in this song, even if Shinwon only got a short line unfortunately (at least Runaway makes up for it). Jinho's high note though oh my word.
Overall
Another strong mini album from Pentagon. They really are working hard to give Universe many songs to bop their heads to and indulge deep. It delivers and follows Demo_01 with justice. Shinwon getting more lines in a title song is a plus. Hopefully he will have more opportunities. Balanced line distribution amongst the group is getting there. So will there be a Demo_03?
