[MUSIC ROUNDUP] Wanna One, KARD, Kris Wu Yifan, DAY6

Sorry, delayed this for too long. Here is a song roundup so far.

B.M - Kris Wu Yifan

The BM actually stands for "Burberry Made" but it certainly got Wu Yifan's followers wondering if he meant a collab with B.M of KARD. Obviously not...but then B.M liked Yifan's IG update promoting his new song. Coincidence perhaps after being chuffed his initials are being used in a song...? Who knows? The song is slower than Yifan's previous releases and to be fair I've had to put the volume up and find lyrics to read along to as I listened. It's more chilled and the MV only focuses on him as the main person along with photos and camera footage of Central London.

You In Me - K.A.R.D

KARD's comeback takes a much darker turn and it feels like a Don't Recall part 2. As you can see in the MV the group are in relationships but then suddenly the guys die and the girls are shocked. Are they toxic? When I listened to the second mini album, the overall feeling was definitely grittier.

The group also gave their HiddenKARD a surprise with another MV. This time for the angsty Trust Me. This is one of my favourite tracks on the new mini album along with Into You, which is a song I felt would have made a stronger comeback single. The group version of Trust Me is only available on the physical version of the second mini album but do check out the Somin /BM and Jiwoo/J.Seph duet versions.

Beautiful - Wanna One

Wanna One's comeback soon took me by surprise as I was expecting another dance track but Beautiful is delightful. It's sad and heartbreaking with suave choreography to go with the music. I can see why they've been winning 1st place on music shows lately. The movie MV has a cameo of Cha Seung Won as the father of two brothers who were separated from a young age (the brothers then grow up to be Kang Daniel and Ong Seungwoo).

I Like You - DAY6

A brand new story this time. It's romantic and the guy in the MV confesses to his female friend in a rather imaginative fashion. Moonrise is the second full-length album by DAY6 and it contains all the EveryDay6 songs released from July up till now. Definitely worth a purchase as it has extra tracks only available on the physical copy.
