WayV return with a new single "Kick Back" to promote their latest mini album.
Kick Back's MV premiered after the group's showcase on 10 March 2021. Visuals as always was on point and for the song itself it is a lot slower compared to the faster beat of Turn Back Time and Moonwalk.
While not my favourite title track from WayV (that honour may go to Moonwalk for now), Kick Back's chorus is undoubtedly catchy and already there is a TikTok challenge trending thanks to WayV encouraging everyone to upload a video of themselves dancing to the "Kick kick kick kick kick kick back" part.
The other songs on the mini album may be more appealing to WayZenNi (hopefully). Action Figure is fun and I like the brass sound in the music which for some reason reminded me briefly of EXO's Thunder from the Overdose album. All For Love is possibly my favourite song from the album along with Horizon which features a Ten, Xiaojun and Kun unit. The opening music for Good Times sounds like it could be played in a cafe. The last track is the Korean version of Kick Back and most WayZhenNi think this version sounds better.
They even performed the Korean version on the music shows. Lucas and Winwin have other schedules in China so it's only the other five members performing and promoting for this comeback.
