[ROUNDUP] Baeko early birthday celebration on Joox + SF9 Summer Breeze perf MV + Goong

Congratulations to SF9 for gaining their first win on The Show a few days ago. They just released a performance video of Summer Breeze. Plus, Baekho shares an early birthday celebration with fans on Joox.

SF9's Summer Breeze choreography has a lot of smooth, graceful hand gestures as well as the odd bodyroll. Jae Yoon I'm looking at you especially. You can see all the slick movements and intense gazes in their glory through this video.

Baekho's early birthday celebration

NU'EST vocalist Baekho shared a live stream on Joox, a week before his actual birthday which is 21 July. While chatting in front of the camera, he prepares a birthday cake with extra toppings and decorations. After the little celebration with the L.O.Λ.E Baekho also presented performances of songs, including a cover of Mandopop song "Whenever" which was originally written by JJ Lin but sung by Cyndi Wang.

Baekho is no stranger to JJ Lin's songs as he has covered other tracks on tour. His voice really fits JJ Lin's music and I do get a little giddy when idols cover his songs so well. I loved his performance of Little Dimples / 小酒窝.

Thankful for you

Whenever / 当你

** LOVES in Macau sang this as part of a special project and Baekho returned the favour.

Happy Birthday

As for Kdramas:- Last month I finally finished a classic by the name of Goong / Princess Hours. Sure it looks dated with the old mobile phone design (I still prefer those types where you push the top part up to get the keyboard and the flip ones secretly) and the really long hair on the boys but generally even with 24 episodes that may seem to drag it was still enjoyable. A not so typical cinderella story with a dash of typical rich boy meets poorer girl and they don't get on at first, though things change over time. I finally saw how Ju Ji Hoon got more famous and even when Lee Shin along with Yoon Eun Hye's Shin Chaegyung made my head spin with their antics, their tender moments and learning to compromise one another's characteristics was touching. I also liked how the cute teddy bears played a part in the series at the end of each episode by replaying specific scenes as well to represent the characters. The final episode where the main antagonist bowed out eventually should have shown more emotional impact between her and the Royal Family. It was just rushed and the writers seemed to do away with it. Or did they want the viewers to just use their imagination on how it went down? Who knows?
