[MUSIC ROUNDUP] ATEEZ Hong Joong and Stray Kids

Stray Kids release their first full length album with the title track God's Menu and Hong Joong shows his versatility as a performer in a new cover video.

ATEEZ's leader Kim Hong Joong really is a talented idol in many things, covering many positions in a group such as rap, sing, dance and produce. He recently dropped a cover of Yoon Jong Shin's So Long Time and put a little spin on the original song, adding a slow rap verse but not losing the simple, acoustic instrument.

Stray Kids are back with a bang. Their new album Go Live has just been released and after many teaser videos, the title track God's Menu also came to light on the group's channels. God's Menu hits hard. You just know it is going to really hit you in the face the moment the song starts. Another addition to your hype playlist for sure.

The lyrics most certainly talk about an appetising menu that will satisfy all five senses and the boys want to cook this track and show the world this is their time, nobody can copy. Aside from the fierce beats and the tang tang tang and du du du sound effects, there are some sections where they make it a little slower and bring out the vocals to soothe us all. The video teaser I saw (aka at mark 2:09) was so memorable when I first saw it. Adding Felix's voice and then that slow motion move well I knew I wouldn't be able to survive that and keep calm.

TOP Korean version MV was released a week before and like the Japanese video, it goes fast.
