[MUSIC ROUNDUP] MONSTA X, DAY6 + NCT127

Featuring NCT127, DAY6 special lyric song and MONSTA X MV for a non-single track.

For their 5th anniversary since debuting (14th May 2015), MONSTA X released a special MV for one of their non-single tracks Monsta Truck. The boy group show their duality in character as they demonstrate a smooth transition from being cute, adorable guys to suave men who know how to make their fans swoon.

The music video is colourful to match the fun, party parts but also brings it to a simpler attire when they perform. Who wants to party with MONSTA X? I wouldn't mind (minus the booze perhaps).

Here's to the next few years of further success, MONSTA X. It may be a while since I will get any better chance of seeing you or even meeting you, especially with some of the members likely to enlist in the military soon.

DAY6 recently released a special lyric video for the English version of Zombie and wow it transitions really well just like the original Korean one. Coincidental timing where the title track is talking about going through mundane routine in life, the perks of normality that is repetitive and indirectly about the repeated cycle of being in lockdown for those that cannot cope with the stay at home rule.

On 88rising's Youtube channel the band also shared a live performance of a classic track You Were Beautiful and one of their latest tracks Time Of Our Life in a studio room. They took it easy here and didn't overdo anything yet I felt they were just so raw here, if not 'eating the CDs'. After the performance they also shared their individual dreams and opened up a little on their feelings. It was touching to watch.

NCT 127 dropped a repackage of their latest album, adding a new title track called Punch. It's like another effective fighter/tournament intro theme and perfect to add to your hype playlist alongside Kick It. Wild colours ensue throughout and I am briefly reminded of Quasar. All that whispering though...let the fans live, guys. Difficult to control the flailing.
