[MUSIC ROUNDUP] MONSTA X, NEMESIS + TXT

Another roundup by me featuring a new group, Nemesis and fun videos by MONSTA X.

Crown - TXT

TOMORROW X TOGETHER aka TXT are BigHit's newest quintet boy group and Bangtan's little brothers. They recently debuted with radio-friendly pop song Crown which is a rather fittingly cute piece for the much younger fanbase, considering the group's birth years are from 1999-2001. It's all about two people completing one another, easing the loneliness. The style of the MV remind me of BTS's Idol and DNA a little but going by this song this is far from sounding very Bangtan-like for sure. Apparently the song is based on a story called Imogene's Antlers by David Small. I only just found out from browsing Youtube comments. Link to Mnet's video here. The story is at the beginning before the stage performance starts.

Last Night - Nemesis

It truly has been a while since I last heard from Nemesis. One of a few Korean rock/symphonic rock bands I used to follow quite a bit alongside EVE (both have had members perform together respectively). Their latest single Last Night which was released back in January is about their reaction after a break up. Like many epic rock songs, the key items are included e.g. fierce guitar riffs/guitar solos, emotional vocals to reach far to the listener.

Shoot Out [Japanese version] - MONSTA X

This MV came up on my Youtube recommendations and I had no idea there was a Japanese version of Shoot Out in progress. Clearly I need to stay up to date on both the Japanese and Korean Twitter accounts. The Japanese MV for Shoot Out is more performance-focused. The styling of the group's clothing is sharper, as is their choregraphy.

MONSTA X also released dance practices for their latest comeback title Alligator. Yes there is cuteness in the eye contact version. Enjoy
