[MUSIC ROUNDUP] BASTARZ, K.A.R.D, PENTAGON, VAV, MONSTA X

Hello again readers,

Quite a few comebacks lately. Let's see what caught my eye.

From Seoul - BASTARZ

Another fun, promotional video on the capital of Korea but this time featuring Block B BASTARZ sub unit. Follow B-Bomb, U-Kwon and P.O around the city as they show you where to go to enjoy various foods and socialise together.

Sha La La - PENTAGON

Ignoring Yuto's dreads in this comeback

Along with a new mini album, Yan An has also returned to the group after time away to recover from injury and other activities in China. What we are presented with is a very Energetic-inspired track (pardon the pun, but since it is a Hui composed track and he did produce Wanna One's debut song it was hard to resist writing that down). Kino isn't joining in on the dancing since he has an injury but you can tell this choreography is very fast-paced but will likely heat up the music show performances in the next few weeks. Sha La La is about letting loose, living in the moment and ignoring your worries for a bit.

Bomb Bomb - K.A.R.D

J.Seph grew his hair and is singing more in this digital single. Everyone is upping their game of hotness in this MV (yes it's hard to divert your gaze from BM when he is looking like that!) and dressed to make every Wild Kard thirsty to no end. The song style is definitely not typical KARD. It doesn't sound the same as their previous releases in case anyone is worried the group were sticking to a specific sound. Bomb Bomb is a club banger, especially when you hear the beat drop that leads to the main dance break. It may not be everyone's cup of tea in terms of vocal and music style but decide for yourself.

Also, VAV released a performance MV of their latest comeback Thrilla Killa which has a catchy chorus that has not left my head since the song first came out.

EDIT >> MONSTA X just dropped their MV for English version of party track Play It Cool featuring Steve Aoki. Between this and the English version of Shoot Out, I may be more inclined to prefer Play It Cool just by a little bit. The MV starts with Steve driving and playing the song on his car stereo while MONSTA X dance and have fun at their hotel/home.
