Quickly posting about two collaboration songs where East Meets West in a way.
Well I didn't expect Steve Aoki to collaborate with Bangtan again. Imagine my surprise with Waste It On Me, an all English language track. I thought it would be a hard-hitting type of song like the remix of Mic Drop. Instead it's a slower non-club tune, just taking it easy. Jungkook and Namjoon are the only Bangtan members featured on the track with the latter mostly rapping and singing a little. The Maknae never goes wrong with his golden vocals and soothes the listeners with his voice, telling us to waste all our time on him / be a fan I guess.
Don't Look Back - PREP featuring Shownu and So!YoON
Back in the London concert, Changkyun mentioned he liked a British band called PREP and sadly I had no idea who they were, possibly because they are focusing on touring overseas - namely Asia. It turns out they have done a previous collab with DEAN so they do have familiarity with Korean musicians.
Don't Look Back fits Shownu's vocals rather nicely as he glides into the song very well and what we get is a chilled, electronic beat. Loving the guest guitar by So!YoON as well.
