[MUSIC ROUNDUP] Kris Wu Yifan, BTOB, GOT7

Sorry, been busy with a lot of things IRL but songs that caught my attention so far...

Deserve - Kris Wu Yifan

Featuring Travis Scott, Wu Yifan is making his way through the hip-hop scene in the West with another tune. The MV for Deserve has focus on the chicks (pretty sure majority are WOC here), smoking cigars and simply jamming in darkly-lit rooms. Self-explanatory lyrics about having the money and bringing all the girls to the party. Can't deny this song is catchy like July. Definite earworm.

Missing You - BTOB

Missing You is the title track for the group's second full-lenth album. It's a touching emotional power ballad of sorts about missing a special person and welcomes the return of BTOB's amazing vocals and soft raps to compliment in each verse. The video has a lovely colour scheme and group visuals to go with the sombre feel of the song.

U & I - JB and Jackson

A song featured on the OST for new Kdrama The Package (starring CNBLUE's Jung Yong Hwa). This is more of a JB song but Jackson has a little rap section. Very Kdrama OST feeling, really romantic and easy-listening. It goes well with the clips used from the drama.

You Are - GOT7

The title song from the group's newest mini album, You Are somehow follows on with the feel of JJ Project's recent album. It's soothing pop rock that has Coldplay/Keane vibes. You Are is a friendship song and we are our friend's sky that nobody else can see. You can tell the MV was filmed in different locations, including the streets of Hong Kong at night. I love how there is an emphasis on feeling free and just letting yourself go when you're outdoors. As JB said, it's a beautiful sky.
