Another DAY6 song released this month and it's another good bop.
Starting off with an aggressive strum and then turning light funky, happy-go-lucky tune, "What Can I Do" is about a guy who likes a girl but she pays no attention to him at all and focuses on other people around her. The MV provides a good indication on the song's story in general. It's incredibly fun and definitely feels like we're watching a cute high school drama. You have male characters who are all incredibly different but popular for various reasons amongst the female population.
DAY6 plays their part well. Sungjin is the main character who fancies a schoolmate but she's busy chatting to other peers and specifically her classmate Jae who seems to be friends with all the girls in the school. He's everyone's BFF. YoungK is the cold but handsome guy who intimidates every person who goes near him. Dowoon is also a cold school peer but girls still fancy him even though he prefers being alone.
Wonpil plays Sungjin's good friend. What's funny here is that many might think he likes the same girl as Sungjin, though if you look at where his eyes tend to follow...you might think otherwise. It's not just a play on the slash goggles. Wonpil's character secretly likes Sungjin (it was actually confirmed in a V Live broadcast by Jae. Wow you don't often get fan theories coming true like that).
