[MUSIC ROUNDUP] Sunrise - DAY6, Ceremony - Pentagon and Shine Forever - MONSTA X

An album round up of recent releases by Pentagon and DAY6.

Ceremony - Pentagon: This is the third mini album for Cube's new boy group. Including the heart-warming Ilhoon produced track "Beautiful" that was released a few weeks ago and the title track "Critical Beauty" which is about the boys playing hard to get with a girl, acting cold on the outside but secretly caring for her. The latter starts off with a bluesy guitar intro that is a nod to 50s/60s era and turns super catchy around the chorus. You may find yourself really clapping your hands randomly. Check out the MV here and enjoy the visual feast. The new mini album also has a lovely tribute to the fans aka UNIVERSE titled "A Precious Promise (To Universe)." Other sweet romantic tunes are within "Lucky" and "Spectacular." Emotional ballads in "Nothing" and the Jinho and Hui duet "Thank You" . Side note ~ Shinwon get so much more lines in this album and this is great to see.

Sunrise - DAY6: This is the band's first full-length album and you may recognise a lot of the tracks as these were featured on the every DAY6 monthly releases to treat their MY DAY up till June so far, thus this includes "I Smile." The band will continue to release new songs each month which is a fantastic treat for their fans and new listeners. Other noteworthy tracks are the reboot version of Letting Go and the newer version of debut track Congratulations. Overall Sunrise is an album worth purchasing and a good way to support DAY6 even further.

Shine Forever - MONSTA X: Shine Forever is the repackaged version of The Clan 2.5 Beautiful, including two new tracks "Shine Forever" (the MV can be viewed here ) and the touching "Gravity". Shine Forever's MV story appears to talk about an accident involving Kihyun and Minhyuk is guilty of what happened which shows why the other members are horrified, angry and getting into a scuffle with one another. The song itself is about a person being your light, shining for you when you are lost. This song made its first appearance at MONSTA X's Beautiful concert in Seoul and has been received positively. The choreography is fierce as ever. Check this fancam out from one of their music show performances. Kudos to the more balanced line distribution. Let's keep this up, Starship.
