Round-up of new songs and/or albums in March that caught my eye - B.A.P, DAY6, GOT7 & BTS

I've not been able to update this blog with thorough reviews like I did in the past and this is mainly due to work commitments. Thus, have decided to do a quick round-up of any new comebacks to speed things up.

Never Ever / Flight Log: Arrival - GOT7 Concluding the Flight Log series, Arrival is the last mini album. Compiled of 8 tracks that have some dancefloor-friendly tunes (Go Higher and Out especially) but also smooth R'n'B like Without Conscience, Sign and Q. Paradise is a tropical beat, Shopping Mall is a cool song about how the dream girl is like a shopping mall (the lyrics are self-explanatory). Q is incredibly sweet. Never Ever is the title track with a great choreo (see choreography MV). It took me a while to warm up to the song and everything else on the mini album but the catchy sounds caught up to me.

How Can I Say - DAY6 The song sounds like a distinct follow-up to I'll Wait with the heavy pop rock emo-ness. The guys do not hold back on their hate towards themselves and the fact their SO does not realise their current relationship is deteriorating. It is not working out and without their other half's presence, they feel comfortable.

Wake Me Up / Rose [single album] - B.A.P Wake Me Up is an emotional message. The MV has people of different nationalities all suffering various emotional situations but the song somehow has an appropriate nod towards Yongguk's anxiety which involved the leader to take a break from promotions during NOIR era. It seems rather fitting that to welcome him back, Wake Me Up was released. The other two songs on the single album are brilliant in the sense that it shows B.A.P can do different genres, possibly one of the things that attracted me to their music in the first place. Dystopia is simply rock fantasy for my dormant metal heart. I thought they wouldn't give us another Bang x2 of sorts but wow yes to this song. Diamond 4 YA is seductive R'n'B and the live performances are definitely going to make BABYz faint.

Bangtan Sonyeondan - Not Today Another additional song on the repackaged Wings aka You Never Walk Alone album. The lyrics are about not giving up and finally not coming out as the loser. Not today, folks. It's definitely a song regarding the cynics of Bangtan Sonyeondan, those who look down on the guys because of their popularity and much, much more. With fierce choreography thanks to Keone Madrid again (the guy who choreographed Fire) and a strong track to get you off your feet and psyche yourselves up for a war, Not Today is a mighty song worthy for your exercise playlist or your battle theme. The choreography MV is a treat to watch. Check it out now
